We are excited to announce a significant update to the Commission Number (Com#) entry process in the CBA system, providing dealers with new possibilities for entering commission numbers in a more complex format. This update enables dealers to enter commission numbers in a 13 or 14-digit format and allows the CBA system to automatically split these numbers for them.
The new commission number format includes an optional leading zero, the Commission ID, a 3-digit BID (Market ID), and a 4-digit Commission Year. For example, a commission number entered as 04357632602024 will be automatically split into the Commission ID 435763, BID 260 (Czech Republic), and Commission Year 2024.
Why Splitting?
This enhancement is designed to simplify the workflow for dealers in several ways:
- Dealers no longer need to memorize the correct format for entering commission numbers into the CBA system or manually split the number into its respective components.
- This allows for the convenient “copy-paste” method, streamlining the data entry process.
- Additionally, the automatic splitting enables precise checks, ensuring that the entered data is accurate and consistent, and providing guidance to dealers if any corrections are needed.
